I am currently building a new 75 gal tank that will be mostly Zoas and LPS. I currently have a 48" 6 bulb T-5 fixture I will be using but I also wanted to incorporate some LED fixtures as well. The tank is width is 18" and the T-5 fixture is 12". I have thought about placing some LEDs both in the front and the rear of the T-5 fixture but I am not sure about that configuration. Honestly, this will be my first attempt with LEDs so any input on configuration as well as LED fixtures and bulbs would be greatly appreciated. I have gotten some great advice from the reefers here before and look forward to the ideas you send my way. Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm still a MH man and never messed with LEDs (not yet that is), but sounds like a nice idea. Corals with glow with color imo. GL

What kind of t5 fixture?

I have a Reefbrite mounted on my t5 fixture.
You'll only need one. All blue. Incredible color pop.

Took a look at the reefbrite, looks nice. Which are you using and what is the placement on the current T5 fixture?

48" all blue, mounted on front of the fixture.
