Tunze 6040 HUB on Nano [Help with program]

I just installed my 6040 on the rear bulkhead. The "bulb" is positioned "south" so the wire is sticking straight up out of the tank. I have it where the bulb is just above the rockwork. Currently on fast pulse (24/7) and I feel there must be a better program and perhaps position. I feel my shrums are getting blasted as some are in the direct line of fire.

Actually surprised Tunze doesn't make a program that mimics "something" of nature.

Any help would be appreciated, I believe you can download and send your schedule as well via the hub portal.

You have the pump upside down, flip it over so the impeller is on top. I would also use a slower pulse and use ramp. Just play around with some of the slower settings and go from there. Once you get the hang of how to program it, it gets easier to dial in the flow. Based on the corals you have, a slow or medium pulse is all you need. If you set it near the back corner and turn the flow director until it covers a wide area of the tank, you should be able to cover a good portion of the tank.

Does it matter if the impeller is on the top or the bottom? I would have thought it didn't and this way there is less wire in the tank. If there is a benefit, then I have no issue flipping it around.

I would also use a slower pulse and use ramp. Just play around with some of the slower settings and go from there. Once you get the hang of how to program it, it gets easier to dial in the flow.

I actually set this for night time (Midnight till 8AM). Will keep an eye on this.

Max: 15%
Min: 5%
Pulse: 10m
Ramp: 5m

Yes, it does matter because you’re missing the benefits of surface agitation and oxygen exchange. Right now it’s pointing towards the bottom. I think if you point it across (perpendicular) from the return, then you can maximize flow throughout the tank and detritus should not settle in the tank, but you might have to play with the placement.
Btw, my cable wraps below and around the pump without issue. I have three 6040’s between two tanks, two of which are 10 years old and no issues with the cables at all. Also, the dry side magnets can go in water, so you could put the pump on the AIO chamber wall.

If I understand correct the pump flow should be aimed to the furthest wall, in the same direction as the return nozzle?

If my chamber wall where pump and return nozzle is mounted is the West Wall. Both pumps are aimed to the East Wall (furthest run).
Closest glass pane is South Wall (viewing pane) and The North Wall is in the "back" furthest away.

I didn't think there would be any issue with the wires, I just figured less wires to see in display. and yes the magnet is in the water of the middle chamber and touching water.

I will adjust this now and make some tweaks as you suggested.
Do you use slow pulse with ramp 24/7?

I use different patterns throughout the day. Random happens 3 times and I use fast, moderate and slow as well.
