Need some Jebao recommendations

I've been reading some good things about Jebao pumps, and I need some recommendations please. I have a Red Sea 75 gallon peninsula. First, I'd like a recommendation for a good DC return pump. My Sicce is simply underpowered.

Second, I'd like a recommendation for some internal flow pumps, such as wave makers or powerheads. Related to that, if you have any thoughts on placement of internal pumps, I would appreciate it. I'm wondering, is there a way to place pumps on the overflow end of the peninsula that really maximizes flow of waste into the overflow? (I'd like the keep the three glass sides free of visual clutter.)

DON'T buy Jebao. I have had three pumps and they have all failed in three different ways. WORST crap products. Luckily got my money back every time.

Invest in AI Nero. Worth every penny and app controlled.

I think as a general rule you want powerheads as close to the surface as they can be. Not blasting directly at any corals. If you only want them on one side, you'll need some pretty powerful ones. Really comes down to your rock scape and placemenet of corals if this is possible with 75 galloons. I have watched a Youtube video with a guy who had a HUGE acro dominated peninsula and he only had powerheads on one side, everything looked amazing. Maybe I can find this video for you.....

There's 2 sides to ever coin, I've got at least 7 jeabo pumps/powerheads. All working great most are at least a year old. There gyre type power heads work great at the surface, dmps mid level. Really you have to play around with them in the tank to find the best fit for you. I'm using the mcp line of return pump and I have no complaints. If your worried about it failing keep a backup ready to go.

The Jaebo return pumps are very good for the price, I have just replaced my 8000 after 5 years. Unfortunately the power heads in my case only lasted just over a year. Depending if you need controllable power heads or not, I use the Tunze turbelle style 4 of them the oldest one being running 17 years.

What kind of sicce pump do you have? I'm very happy with my sicce sdc 5.0, I run it at 30% and its worked perfectly the last 2 years that I've had it.

Personally I do prefer gyres instead of powerheads, but I have no experience with peninsula tanks. Good luck.

I can vouch for the return pumps they work great. I think all mine are the dcp line. I have 1 tiny power head from them it works fine for the most part but the control is terrible. My question to you is what do you mean under powered? You dont want or need a ton of flow through your sump. In tank flow is different than return flow and return flow should not ideally be included in the figuring of flow required for corals. I do have a sicce 9.0 on my skimmer and if I loose power for a short amount of time it will not restart until I turn it off and back on again that is kind of annoying, I would not want that as my return pump.

My jeabo sows are over 5 years old now and working still.

My return is the jeabo MDP smart pump, I have never tried to use the app because I don’t want an app for a dang return pump but it works well, almost a year old. I just adjust with the controller box.

I recently purchased two Jebao pumps for my return, and DEP 8500, and since I liked it so much, a DEP 10,000. I will use the 8500 as a backup and the 10,000 as my return pump. I had been planning on Sicce, but the Jebao is so much less expensive without much evidence of any problems.

I cannot comment on longevity except to note that I read a lot and gathered lots of opinions in a thread I started about Jebao and other return pumps before picking them. For the price, I do not see any real competition to consider.

I've used Jaebo return pumps to run my 2 150-gallon tanks, running them every day 24/7 for 4-5 years now. If and when they give-out, I'll replace them with new Jaebos. At the price, I practically consider them 'disposable.''

I can't really comment on their smaller wavemakers, gyres, etc.

I've run a DCP8000 for my skimmer and another as a return pump they have never given me any problems. I also have a SLW20 same. I used RIOs previously without issues. The only pump I've ever had fail outright was Mag 7.

Feel good about buying Jebao. I have SOWs that are 6 years old now, SCPs that are 5 years old, and have had only 1 pump die on me. Also, check out Leonardo’s Reef. His coral farm and business is all run from Jebao equipment. Jebao provides pumps for all different applications, from aquarium to gardening to power tools.

For a 75 gallon ide run a dcp or dep 3000 or 3500.

For flow, ide do either 3 dmp 20 or 30's on the back wall with wide flow cages or two dmp 40's with one on each side .

My entire tank, return, gyres,Wavemakers and UV Jebao, 5 years plus, all running and silent.

That’s 15 pumps from Jebao.

Was not fooled by marketing.

The DCP 10,000 would be a great fit for 75g turned way down. Allows room to run other stuff in future.

I have been running dcp8000's and 10000's for 7plus years now. I have never had a failure or even a minor issue with them.

I have had great luck with the Sow-8’s and then the DMP’s. I had 2 DMPs in my 3’ 75 gallon. I’m assuming yours is a traditional 4’ long 75? I think you would be fine with 2 DMP40’s in that size tank. They should have enough power to handle SPS or tune them down a bit for LPS/softie tank.
I have a 5’ tank that is 30” wide. I’m using just two DMP 40’s right now in a LPS/softie tank, but at 100%, so I will be adding 2 more shortly.

Im a DCP fan. My 3500 ran for over 6 years without being cleaned before i broke the tank down. My 5000 has been running over two years and my 15000 a bit over a year. They are so quite I can't hear them over the water flow in the sump. They're also cheap enough I keep a spare for each in case of a failure or if i decide to clean one I can just rotate them out.

Same. I think my 2 6500 and a 15000 have been on my tanks for 5 or 6 years now. I have never cleaned them. Its freshwater so not as corrosive but I have plants and roots that are regularly broken off that get sucked in to them and my water is very hard.

I've had some flow pumps that developed issues but I've also had nero pumps develop the exact same issues in similar time frames. They are solid for the most part as with any mass manufacturing you will have a few bad ones. To go on nobody said much when something is working. But 5 people with a bad experience will sound like the British army headed your way.
