I'm in the process of setting up an I.M. EXT 100 and trying to decide on which wavemakers/pumps to use for a 48"X24" tank. I'm looking at the new IceCap 2K with dual wifi controller and wondering if 1 will do the job or if I need two pumps at either ends of the tank or if one would be better with maybe a Nero5 or something to mix up the flow pattern.
Also, I've read some very good reviews on the Jaboa scp-120, which puts out twice the gph at half the price.
I won't pay the prices asked for MP's or higher end gyres, they just seem extremely over priced for aquarium pumps.
I plan on a mixed reef, heavy on the sps from top down and a good mix of LPS and softy/zoa's from the midway down.
Any ideas you might have, on this topic, are welcome.
