I just finish setting up my neptune awc, its working great i chose manual mode 30 gallons. I would like to do my 30 gallons monthly to do them at once with my neptune dos, my question is do i leave my ato off all that time the awc running? Wouldnt that cause salinity issues?

Yes the ATO needs to be off when AWC is activated. Otherwise your ATO will dump more water in as its pulling out water.

The salinity swings should not be major depending how long the AWC takes. Unless its 4+ hours and you evaporate a lot, I don't think its major. You can always split the changes throughout the month. You lose % of the affects but nothing crazy.

I am using Hydros for a nano tank. 1G weekly. It kicks on every night at 500ml intervals. ATO switched off during this time frame which is less than 20 minutes.
