I am looking at getting an LLS and I want to use it to measure the volume in my mixing containers. Is there any way to mount it that doesn't require putting holes in the tank? I am aware it comes with a mounting clip I just wonder If anyone has any ideas to maybe magnetically mount it or something of the sort.

They are in the process I heard of making magnetic clips and euro brace clips

I am ready to purchase a few of these, but have the same problem- cannot mount the current clip on sump or ATO tank. Hopefully, they will come out with the mounts soon as I think they will sell a lot more of these if the mounting was not so limited.

This is what I had done with Matt over at octoaquatics.

Via set screw to hold in place.

That’s awsome! I would totally pay for that. I did have a similar ish idea to do it with my 3D printer, but I couldn’t figure it out with the magnets. How are you embedding the magnets into it?

There is a prototype clip coming out to resolve this made by Ecotech introduced at MACNA
I too need this type to make it work

I didn’t do it, Octoaquatics did, I just contacted him for some custom work for these new LLS. As he does on all his accessories, his crazy strong N52 magnets are placed inside a milled out acrylic and sealed shut so the magnet will never come in contact with water and cause any issues. I use his stuff on all my setup and I have not had one fail yet. His stuff is top notch, if I need a magnet, he’s my guy.

I had to glue a suction cup to mine to get it to sit how I wanted it to. Now the clip holds the top but the suction cup holds the bottom in place against the wall of my mixing tank

That’s got me excited then too! I refuse to get them until I know I can mount them.
Same here - I had to pass on the show special because I had no means to mount them
