Hi Reefers,

I want to have the room temperature integrated on my Apex Fusion display so that I can overlay with my tank temperature and heater power consumption.

Is all I need to plug in an additional temperature sensor to a PM1 module and be done with it? Is it that simple, so that I just leave the temperature probe on a shelf somewhere and forget about it? ;)

Cheers!

I don’t have a Neptune but I would assume that would work. If the probe has to be submerged put it in you ato or in a glass of water
In the ATO, that is genius- and so obvious :face-with-tears-of-joy: Thanks Pal, my full rear compartment is full of RO water at a steady level so i might just stick it in there..

Although, I might go for a smaller jug of water as i want to capture the temperature swings in the room throughout the day..

This is my tank temperature- and heater wattage for this afternoon; i would love to overlay the room temperature swing you see!

I don’t have a computer on my kitchen reef but it’s got 3 halides plus 4 t5 s on 85 gallon tank, after the lights come on the room heats up the first hour or so till our geothermal brings temp back down to 72 in the room. I’m sure it swings more in the room than in the tank. Everything survives

It has nothing to do with the temperature swing as such, just want to be able to monitor and track how the two interacts and affects one another! :)

It has nothing to do with survival either ;) But thank you for your input!

For what it’s worth I have a temp probe in my mixing station that reads the temp perfectly fine when empty and the probe is dry for extended periods of time. I’m certain you are fine with keeping a sensor out of water indefinitely

That would make it a heck of a lot easier! I will give that a go; suit the control freak and gear junkie in me to add yet another parameter and data set in to the mix!
