Anyone know if the Optical Sensor magnetic mount is water proof on both sides?

Obviously the one side is waterproof but I need to put another sensor in the return chamber of my sump. However to do so both magnets would be submerged.

So you have both magnets submerged?
Yes I do. I have a low level sump sensor in the return section of my RSR 250 sump (v1 or v2 I believe). The return section is physically next to the inlet section so the ‘dry’ side of the OS magnet is in the inlet section, with the sensor and wet side in the return section. I haven’t seen any issues with it so far and it’s been there nearly 2 years.

Thanks - I also have a Red Sea and will be doing the exact same thing.

Still no issues? I as well have a red sea and want in my XXL750. No room to put on the outside. Sump hugs the cabinet. Did you remove the rubber on the dry side of magnet or leave it?
