With the discounts occurring this week on nearly every Neptune item, it makes me think they could be launching the next version of the apex. I’m basing this purely on retail sales cycles as a former buyer for a retailer - we would discount existing items/lines when we were close to launch to help move inventory. I’m sure inflation is impacting this sale some as well, though. Inventory levels are probably higher across the board and Neptune wants to move units. So they’re funding a sale or partially funding it to help their partners sell units.

Next version on the Apex? I doubt it, the A3 was just released in Q3 of 2022- barely a year old. Not gonna happen!

Just a theory. Like I said - inflation is driving inventory up which could be the cause as well. I’m not up to speed on release dates, so that’s the more likely reason.

I'm In general retail sales management, and this has been a pretty recent phenomenon for vendors to accelerate sales in June with summer style "Black Friday" pricing events. I'm not surprised to see this spill over into reef equipment vendors looking to help with what is generally a "slow" period for sales. Like CasperOe/Ronnie mentioned, Neptune just added a whole slate of new gear just three retail quarters ago. This might also be an indicator of a new product release (MXM) in the wind (rumors are something very, very soon)!

I was suprised that there was a sale this week. But now that I see this as well. My guess will be the release of the next Apex system. This one will have the MXM integrated into it so you can control your Mobius and AI items as well. Along with the MXM module.

A real shame! :disappointed-face: I run DOS pumps for my Triton- and water change but i love the small form factor of the Versa's though..

Would love to know what will (and won't) work with new MXM to get a better idea/evaluation of use and need.
There is a link to the MXM getting started guide but the site is password protected, so no joy there!
For those doubters, I've seen a recently shared pic of the box and unit, so its definitely coming.

Does this mean mobius will get an update? My Gen 4 Radion won't stay connected to the app for more then 30-60 seconds after a reboot of the light (unplugging it). I hope this will fix it!
