New 120g tank size ?

I want to start a new tank 120g i would like to be able to keep some tang so wich size will be the best a 48x24x24 or a 60"x18x25

Typically for tangs, the longer the better. I have a 4ft 120g and if I had the space, I would have gone with the 6ft 125. Tangs need length, not so much height and depth. That said, there are some tangs that will work in a 4ft 120g.

I have a 120 with a Tomini Tang. I had a 90 that was 18 deep. 24 is much better for scraping and viewing.

Yes, this is true as well. I love the depth to my 120. I should clarify, a 6x2x2 would have been nice :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Yeah for sure i like the size of a 4x2x2 that is why i don't think of a 90g if i could have the space for a 6x2x2 haha i was thinking of a tomini a white tail and maybe a yellow tang

Tomini and yellow would be fine in a 4ft 120

Great so i will go that route am also planning to do a negative aquasquape with a lot of hiding space

Many tangs are quite fast.
