Right now I have 2 of the old ai prime HD over my tank with 2t5 bulbs . I just got the new 16hd reef light can I just change them over and put them to the same ish settings or should I do a acclamation mode for them ?

The new lights are a bit brighter. I would reduce the settings just a hair and see how it goes.

I'd get a PAR peter to see exactly what your intensity settings will produce then run acclimation mode with at least a 20-30% reduction in power for 3-4 weeks. The PAR would be different as will the spectrum and you need to give the corals time to adapt. Too little light over the short term is far safer than scorching your corals.
