Since many are probably as bored as I’ve been lately, I figured I would post and document this.

My Apex EL just arrived. I also have an Apex display and LDK module with two sensors. I’m waiting on a PM1 and ORP probe you arrive.

I’m upgrading to a 6’ tank next year and wanted to build this out and get it perfected on my 40B system for now. I don’t have a lot of room under the tank, and don’t want to kill myself squeezing this all in just to pull it out again in six months.

For a solution, I found a nice wood medicine cabinet that matches my stand and put it together yesterday.

I’m going to build my controller into this and attach it right to the side of the stand. It’s roomy, should look good and allow easy access. When the upgrade is ready I can easily move it as an assembled unit to the new tank

I’m also still waiting for the cord organizers.

The “to do” list:

Add a piece of plywood on the back inside, paint, add an led cabinet light, drill cord organizers in and mount the display on the outside. I will document in case anyone else is looking for a similar cabinet idea.

The hardest part is really wanting to get this running on the tank now, but I don’t want to rush it!

Here are some more pictures. Added an Avast Marine breakout box. I’m still waiting on the display mount and PM 1 module. So far it looks good and functions as it should.
