New Banner Bangai Cardinal

I've had him for a week in QT tank today he's got something coming out of his mouth. pics. aren't very good but you can see something, it looks like it's coming out of the wrong end, if you know what I mean.. Any suggestions would be appreciated, maybe he just tried to eat something and it got stuck?
