new camera & no clue

well I finally got a camera and bought a micro lens 105MM F2.8 ex dg macro os camera is canon t3i

I am really new to cameras can anyone give me a few pointers

I'm a bit of a noob as well when it comes to cameras.

Something that has helped me a lot though is setting your white balance off a piece of white PVC or white sand inside the tank. And you'll need some thing like photoshop or lightroom for editing.
