New creature in my tank.

I wish I had a picture of what I saw in my tank last night. It looks like a small centipede that was in my sand. Does any one know what it might be?

If it was red it was a bristle worm, if it was black it was a eunicid, in which case find it and burn it!

Probably a Bobbit Worm. Get it out YESTERDAY! They are REALLY fast and will eat pretty much anything.

Welcome to Reef 2 Reef. Probably just a bristleworm - harmless.

Yes, they are a good part of a clean up crew. If you have a lot of them it is an indication of poor maintenance.

i found one the other day, a bristle worm..it was all stretched out about a foot long...tried catching it..no luck...

Personally, any worm over 4 inches has to go. If it is over 7 inches it is definitely not a good type of worm.
