I've decided to pull the trigger to get a new lagoon style aquarium to replace my old 180 gallon reef tank.

I ordered my new custom aquarium from Concept Aquarium located in Calgary, AB last summer and I finally received last week.

The tank dimensions are 48" x 26"x 16"
External overflow 2x 1"
And the stand is 36" high
Sump is 32" x 22" x 16"

Total running water volume will be around 100 gallon ish

I will post more updates on this build once I start to plumb this tank

The tank is finally all set up.
Took me awhile to finish plumbing and build custom light rail for 4 Ecotech radion g4 pro lights.

I first dosed my tank with ammonium chloride solution to raise the NH4 level. Then, I put 4oz bottle of Fritz turbo start to initiate the fishless cycling. I put some birghtwell's xlm bacteria as well.

Equipment lists:

Brain of the system: Apex neptune
Filteratuon: Clarisea 500 Gen 2
Return pump: Neptune COR 20
Skimmer: Nyos 160 skimmer
Powerheads: Neptune wav x 4 / red sea gyre 45 / one more wav in sump

Lighting: Ecotech radion gen 4
Dosers: Dos x 2
Water change system: 2x Ecotech Versa
Kalkwasser: K1 Avast marine kalk stirrer

I have all equipments ready in my hand from mt ild system. I just need to take my time transfer each equipments when the tank is ready for fish/ corals transfer.

It's been almost 48 hours since I put the fritz turbo start. The ammonia level is still high. I wonder how long it will take to complete the cycle.

I ordered a bottle of Brightwell's microbacter xlm start just in case the Turbo start doesn't kick in fast enough.

Meanwhile I transferred the ATO tank from my old set up. The ATO tank is looking with its matching sump.

The ammonia & nitrite are finally at zero. So I moved half of my LPS and few SPS to see if water is good enough for corals.

And two of my clownfish are also transferred.

If they make through for another week. I will completely shut down my main frag tank and transfer all fish and corals.

I finally got some time to attach my corals on the rocks today.

Had to trim all the dead parts / aptasia&vermited snails infested parts.

I will need to work on trimming more corals later on but it's good enough for today.

Will be draining the previous tank tomorrow to complete all transfers.
