New duncan unglued from plug

Hey all — received a new Duncan last week (three heads, looked beautiful and healthy from the purchase photo). However, upon placing it in my tank, it came unglued from its frag plug. The base of the coral seemed fine as-is, so rather than gluing it back on, I inserted it into a Reef Rax rock with an opening that suited it quite well. It hasn't done much since, so I moved it a lower flow area yesterday (away from where my other Duncans are in moderate flow, all doing great). Will it simply take a while to improve its mood, as is sometimes typical for them (especially after shipping)? Or do I need to place it back on a plug and in the sandbed rather than in the rock? It isn't completely receded but not close to extended, either. Any insight would be much appreciated, thanks!

I would not try and glue it. Just more stress out of water.

Agreed, my instinct was that it'd be fine once it felt "secure" in the rock instead of messing with it on the plug. But as seems to be commonplace with duncans, who knows how quickly it'll settle in!
