So I’m in the process of a new tank build. I drilled out my new tank and installed a Fuji cube 1200 gph external overflow. I have a very slow leak between the tank and the overflow. I followed the directions and even reached out to Fuji cube. Didn’t really get anywhere. I’m wondering if anyone has had experience with a similar leak and, If so, what they did to fix the problem. I tightened it to the point where I’m afraid if I go any further I could do damage to the tank of overflow. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Try lubing your o-rings, sometimes a small film of grease will help seal. There are food grade greases that are reefsafe, I believe EcoTech uses DuPont Molycote to their pump shafts.

Thanks, that makes sense. I actually have some at my house. I’ve used it for O ring type gaskets but not flat ones. I’ll follow up.
