All the fish died I think it was brook I had no viable way to treat them. Kick ick didn't work or copper treatment. I've been preemptive at this point and purchased formalin so if it happens again in ready for a curative treatment for external parasites. Waited 75 days for the lifecycle to end.
Did they pass away in QT? Copper can suppress brook and velvet buy not eradicate. So if you were running correct copper levels they should've remained alive for the time being. Unless they were too far infected to begin with succumbed to stress meds or parasites. Sorry this happened. What copper product did you use. What level was your copper and what kit were you using to test copper levels?

Because it's significantly more common in clownfish then velvet and kills just as fast. OP added clowns then his fish deaths started. Ich doesn't kill that fast.
Yes - I was just curious if you had seen something in the picture that suggested it. I didn't see it - but agree you're probably correct.

Yes and the product was cU pro at the labeled rate. Surprise though it's struck again I let the dt set for 80 days as it is written and reintroduced new clowns and it's back a month and some odd days after the fallow period and reintroduction. I'm dumbfounded how resilient this disease is. I preformed a formalin treatment 37% with the 15% ester formulation at 1ml per gal for 30 min and have them recovering in a qt. idk what to do at this point as I have other livestock (not fish) in my dt. Is there anything I can do to help speed along this parasites life cycle without harming a green star polyp a feather duster worm and two skunk cleaners?

Did you QT the new clowns before adding them? Wondering if it's not a return of the previous parasite but just the same thing coming in on the new clowns.... Sorry about your losses :(

No I had no other fish to worry about so I acclimated and added them to the dt. This parasite has got to have a dormancy period if there's a residual factor because I let my dt go fallow for double what anyone suggests. From my observations it's brooklynella for sure, slimy stuff is coming off at this point my female clown is doing great the male is struggling. He's hanging in there still keeping upright. I will more than likely be retreating with formalin in 2 days and returning to qt. 6 weeks is what's recommended, I'll give it that.

At this point I question if the new clowns already had it. Most LFS do not QT nor treat for disease. They can keep them healthy and feeding by keeping them isolated from other fish so diseases might not be obvious on the fish. They can also keep their fish ownly tanks with lower salinity levels to keep disease dormant, but not gone. In short, netting them and bagging them could be enough for the disease to reemerge...

Something tells me that your fallow was correct but you may have re introduced the parasite. Also for copper. We have many posts on this forum where copper products state a certain dosage on the product but aren't always the correct levels to maintain. Fritz coppersafe is my go to. Using a Hanna checker. Make sure copper levels are at 2.5-2.75 for 30 days and make sure that level doesn't drop below 2.5. If for one day it drops below therapeutic levels (2.5) then you have to start the 30 day clock all over again. Unfortunately there's nothing speedy that goes well in this hobby including parasite control. I would assure all fish are 100% parasite free before returning to display.. its also great practice to complete quarantine and remove all medications from water and observe another 2 weeks to make sure it doesn't have anything else left. Most importantly! Always Qt new additions I understand the impulse to want them already in the DT but it's not worth it if they don't survive.

Keeping updates; got back home and clowns are certainly more active male is still breathing rapidly discolored and slimy but the female is looking normal with an impressive long string of slime coming off of her underside.
