New frag...ok to add?

Pink branches? while dipping and inspecting a new frag I saw this and I'm not sure what it is. Good to add to tank or not???

Maybe the zoas grew over an old skeleton that still had some life left?

You can add it, I've got some of those pink things growing in my tank as well, been there for well over a year now with very slow growth. They haven't bothered anything

Looks like some sort of algae or sponge. Scrape it off
