my xenia isn’t as happy as it use to be after I added the candelabrum gorg. Too close? My leathers and Kenya tree seem fine with it.
Shred5, whenever I've bought a new gorg and try to do my homework, I invariably stumble on your posts!
Since the gorg enthusiasts are assembled here, there is one I have had my eye on for several months now. The vendor can't ID this gorg. Any ideas?
Thanks. Would that be Eunicea (aka Candelabra)? I haven't tried that one. I get my gorgs from Gulf Coast Ecosystems and will be trying KP as well as Salty Bottom soon..It is the same gorgonia as I have on the right in the last pic. I would have to grab one of my books to remember the id. Photosynthetic, super fast grower and very hardy.
Yea Gorgonians are one of my favorites and I have been keeping them a long time so I have been in lots of those threads. Also goniopora have been another favorite.
The Brown Gorgonian in the middle last pic I have had for maybe 10 + years and fraged so many times. You can actually see a picture above when I got it and it was real small.
If anyone is looking for gorgs best place is KPaquatics.
Shapper, I love that back wall corals. Look awesome. What is the coral name? How do you make them grow on the wall?Yes its GSP on the back glass, I like it

So i bought a new gorgonian today, I believe its a Purple Candelabra. Its not long been in and looking great. It is a really nice deep purple with light purple polyps.

It looks like in the center you have a Pseudopterogorgia bipinnata (plume gorg) losing half its flesh. Is that right? I have found these to be the most temperamental gorgonians. It's always one step forward, two steps back with them..
Yes its GSP on the back glass, I like it
I have never seen gsp take over the entire wall like that! beautiful. I have thought of doing that but dosnt look so great until it totally fills in. Love that new gorgonian, what is the name of the large one. Is that a brush? I definitely want one, i kind of like the ribbon and whip but thinking that might be to thin looking. I like them fuller! Like yours!Yes its GSP on the back glass, I like it
