New to reefing, not new to aquarium hobby. But who am I kidding, I'm green to the salt life.

I do have a younger brother that's been reefing for over 20 years. Planning to lean on him for help, though he's 3 hours away.

I'm in the planning stage with needing to aquire tank etc. still. Located in the Charlotte area just over the boarder in SC.

Welcome! Don't know what your pocketbook is like but take a look at Glass Cages. They basically make their tanks to order. So a weird dimension issue is right up their alley. But don't do it on your phone. Use a computer. It's A LOT easier to use to build a tank.

+1 for glass cages though they are very very expensive. You get top quality though.

Welcome! You’ll do fine, just plan to spend more money. My advice is to get as much water volume as you can afford as well as have it be reef ready with a sump

You are “green” to salt water but at least you understand that you need a new tank.

Lights are also important and the shape of the tank, use of a sump, or not can also impact your results.
