New Growth on Euphyllia?

So recently I got a frogspawn as my first coral and it pretty quickly declined health which I found was due to my salinity. I addressed the issue and it’s now been a couple weeks. I’ve noticed in the last week this white smooth stuff covering the top of both heads. Is the coral building over the old skeleton and regenerating? I’m pretty new to this so obviously I’ve never seen it before. I also could not find any pictures online of coral regrowth in this manner. Thanks for any insights. Pictures to come later

Not how they generate new heads. Need pics but sounds like it could be bacteria covering the heads which means they are dead or close to it.

Ahh okay bacteria is a possibility. Would it be like porcelain white if it was bacteria?
