Hello Everyone,

I'm Travis,
I just signed up to reef2reef forum because I got tired of bugging the fish store guys (TJ from Petsmart & Allen from The Aquarium) :) Basically, I just started my 1st saltwater tank (25 gal) 3 months ago and I feel like I am on top of the world now, Since I can finally buy fish, coral etc… I have 2 clowns, 1 yellow tang, 1 blenny and a bunch of inverts such as, 5 variety snails/hermits, 2 crabs & 1 Shrimp. I know my yellow tang will have to go after he gets larger but I really wanted him.

My equipment is kinda basic. I have a fluval filter, Eheim heater, Fluval Aqua Sky LCD light, circulation pump and I am waiting for a Protein Skimmer to come in the mail. I just bought a basic air stone Protein Skimmer for $10 off ebay.

I wont use the air stone it came with though, I'll use a good one. I'll also throw out those cheap suction cups it comes with. I think it should do the job, I guess we'll see!

Some pics of my setup:

I'm waiting to buy more coral. So far I have a little rock of Polyps and a single mushroom head.

I'm excited to be on this forum and look forward to chatting about your tanks!

Welcome to the forum, nice fish, except the tank is too small for a tang. Lol those were my starter fish too, lawnmower blenny, clowns, and yellow tang.

What do you have now?
Same yellow tang, a six line wrasse, and an eel goby. I got a copper band which gave my clowns ich :( and my lawnmower blenny got old, he had an amazing personality, made me sad to lose him. Followed me around like a dog.

Welcome, now open a bank account just for your tank...
I'm hooked…Already going to the fish store daily lol. I want some coral just don't feel like paying $75 each for it. I am looking on craigslist and I heard that maybe I should join a local group. I know that I can buy small coral for cheap which I did but it's taking FOREVER to grow lol
