New hammer not fully opening

It’s open somewhat not full the way it was at the local reef guys tank but it’s only been in there since last night am I just being impatient?

Yup your being impatient. It often takes a couple days to readjust from one tank to another(different ALK, lighting, flow, etc).

Give it a couple days, if it's not fully open by then, then I would look for problems.

I’m sure your right I also got a toadstool from the same tank and that’s opened up beautifully along with about a dozen button polyps

If it doesn't retract and show the skeleton when the light is on, you have nothing to worry about.
