I was also curious about doing a diy light system. I’m a contractor and licensed in almost everything. I plan on being a cabinet system around the tank. I’ve looked in to a few LED flood lights with customizing color. The give out 38 par at 10 feet. Could wire a dim able switch in as well

I currently use a HOB filter on my reef tank.

I don’t currently use a HOB filter on my reef tank, but I have in the past.

I have used a HOB on fish only or quarantine tanks, but not on the display tank.

I have never used a HOB on a saltwater tank.
