I have a 12gal Evo tank I plan to use as a quarantine after moving everyone to the new Waterbox. I just watched this BRS video and it seems way over the top. Do fish survive this process? They’re moving them around from the store, to two dif dips, then to the small QT tank for 3-4 weeks with huge 100% water changes, etc. Seems the stress of this would kill the fish faster than the ick! But what do I know. Curious what your process is for QT. Thanks!

There's certainly more than one way that hobbyist QT their fish, but this is the protocol many here at R2R use:

Good luck!

The need for "100% water changes" is a non-starter for me. That's rough on the fish and very expensive. Better to have an operating bio filter in your QT.

Our current quarantine protocol was linked for you.

I recommend a reliable test kit such as Hanna or salifert brand and change 19-15% as needed
