New leather frag torn

Hello, I just received this leather frag that I'm still not sure exactly what it is yet, in the mail 2 days ago now. It started out hunched over, and changed directions a couple times. It actually looked puffed up today and then when it changed directions again I noticed it tore itself. What should I do now???

Pics under white light will help looks a little bleached maybe it’s nepthea it could also be a sinularia you could cut where it’s torn dip in iodine to promote faster healing or cut it and stick in between some rock it won’t raise up straight with that tear
