new light acclimation

so my new fixture is coming today 6x39w tek elite its going over my 57 rimless i cant hang it so iam using the mounting legs. how much more powerful is this from my current deep blue 4x39w fixture do i need to shorten my photoperiod for the first few weeks? i currently run my lights for 10 hours withe 2 hours being only actinic

It doesnt seem like the change is as drastic as moving to metal halides. As a precaution though, you could always grab a couple of pieces of patio screen and have it over the top to diffuse some of the light for a little while.
