Hey guys, I have a seasoned tank and I have fresh live rock arriving in a few days. Can you guys give me tips to make sure I don't cause any issues there are anatomies, a few clowns, chronic, feather duster, and of course a nice cleaning crew. I have set the right side of the tank for the rock. to keep it separated from original live rock. I want to make sure I will have no issues if you for see any please send me in the right direction. Thank you in advance.

"arriving in a few days" leads me to think they are coming by mail, in which case I would expect some die off. Personally, I would QT them, so that any die off wouldnt affect the main tank.

If driving directly from the lfs, then I would just add them to the tank.

I second the QT them. Live rock getting shipped has lots of die off and could cause a ammonia spike, plus the crazy amount of hitchhikers you probably don't want. I'd toss them in a tub of some sort , look them over, cut off anything dead and cure them for a bit if possible. You could toss them right into the display, but you may need to be prepared top do extra water changes and the like just in case issues arise.

Ok. I would drop it into your rinse container and heat to match your tank and SG.
Check ammonia amd nitrite levels. When none are present add to your system.
This will also gibe you time to remove any dead and undesirable hitch hikers.

Is the rock being shipped in water?

this part I am not sure about the water

why do you ask is there something I should know if it is I have been waiting a month and a half for this live rock, it was suggested by a previous post of mine to purchase it there because the people had great shipments so I went with the company with best reviews and recommendations.

Is the rock from TBS? If so they ship in water. That could go straight into your system.
If its wrapped in wet newspaper their may still be some die off.
I would still be inclined to put it in a seperate container for awhile to remove unwanted items or anything that might be dead even if it was shipped in water.

https://www.liverocknreef.com/ is where I purchased it they pack it in wet towels and the area they retrieve the rock from is 20 to 25 years old I am looking forward to it the video they show an average box comes with a lot of corals, sponges macro alages and much more so I see I may have some work to do to make sure to remove any dead or unwanted stuff so I think I am getting what I want

That rock looks nice! Yea I would put it in a container and monitor.
I would have prefered to pay more if they shipped in water and triple bagged it.
Coral out of water for 24 hrs will have some die off.
