Here is the stand I made to allow me to stack 2 40 gallon reservoirs and a sketch of the planned plumbing. Constructive comments or suggestions welcome

Welcome! The right size tank is a balance between size and budget. Bigger tanks (to a point) are easier to maintain but cost more. Smaller tanks are cheaper but require much more attention to keep things stable. I started with a 12g nano and now I'm doing a 40g build. You'll love R2R!

Here is the completed Water changing station:

I filled it today and it works as designed. Somewhat difficult to get the salt in the lower tank. I wish I had made a little more clearance between the tank and upper platform. All in all not bad
