Hello,
Been a while since I’ve posted anything on a thread. My name is Patrick. Always been interested in the ocean and reefs and have been for years ever since I started watching the documentary “Chasing Coral”. Finally decided to take the plunge so to speak and build a little piece of the reef on my home. I’m absolutely just starting out and plan on going slow. I’ve already decided on the tank size (29 gallons) though I know it will require more consistent monitoring and be harder, I just don’t have the space for a larger system. I’m taking it slow getting things a little at a time and just researching and reading. Which is how I found this site. I was reading the guide that’s on here and felt that so far it’s the most comprehensive explanation of a start up I have found so far. I’m excited. I’m ready to start but know it’s a marathon that will yield beauty that I can share with my wife and kids and maybe one day pass the passion for the reef onto them. One of my bucket list items is to someday move to Australia and dive the GBR.

but I won’t make her rearrange her hobby for mine especially since those enclosures are already established and occupied.
