What size tank and fixture is that?
Looing god, How heavy is te whole fixture?
How deep is your tank and would you happen to know how much is the PAR on the bottom of your tank?
Wow Rev, going thru old threads of mine and see that I never answered you!How are you liking your razor?
Any help on lighting SETTINGS?Wow Rev, going thru old threads of mine and see that I never answered you!
Any way, I have really like my Razors. Had one on my first tank as well. This newer RazorX is full spectrum with a super easy to use app (requires the ICV6 module) which also allow you to use the app for gyre programming too.
getting great growth and my wife likes the sleek look which is a plus!
What can I help you with?Any help on lighting SETTINGS?
Thanks for the reply. I have the 200w version of the same light. Just wondering what settings you're using with the Syna-G app. I plan on running a LPS dominate mixed reef. I went thru most of your build thread, but I didn't see any specifics about your light settings. Looks like you're getting good growth though, so any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I plan on renting the PAR meter from BRS soon also. What can I help you with?
Thanks!Sorry I haven’t replied sooner. I run the LPS preset at 12K. My nems like the lower Kelvin.
lights come in at 11:00 am, 4 hour ramp up. Then start ramp down at 6:30 till 9:30. Then channel C stays on at 1% till midnight. Then all lights out.
I could not get the QR to work. Whe I started with this light I already knew the spectrum I wanted as my fish are so colorful. But I wanted to bump up the power and meek the spectrum. So you can save your program and name it since you have the icv6 module. Do that and write it down too just in case. Then, do easy setup again, choose the same spectrum and the sps. Then you can see where the ABCD channels are set. Then reload your current settings and ramp up slowly by like 1-2% all channels per week. Thanks!
Did my QR code work?
I run a modified LPS. I'd like to get the channels up to 80/60/60/80 (or whatever the SPS setting is) my yellow coris looks amazing under the brighter light.
Maybe the QR only works if sent via cell phone? I just screen shot it and posted. Seems like a pretty cool feature. Anywho..... I've basically done exactly what you've said, with the exception of doing a peak mid day at the SPS levels instead of bumping up 1% a week. I plan to extend the peak 30min a week until the I get the full day lighting. I'm also going to rent the PAR meter from BRS to get some actual numbers, as I'm just going by what looks good to me. Right now, I only have a couple frogspawn and zoa colonies, so I'm not too too worried about frying much.I could not get the QR to work. You should consider buying a seneye vs renting the par meter. I love mine.......priceless when you “need to know” par or spectrum.Maybe the QR only works if sent via cell phone?
