Thought I should introduce myself. Name is Steven. I've been in the hobby for about a year with the same tank.

No extra feeding minus flake food for the fish and some coral frenzy .
Never have had luck with SPS, which is what i would like to do

Working on setting up a 58g oceanic with sump .

Not to take away from here, but have you checked out the local reef clubs in Madison and Milwaukee? There are some good locals that are always more than willing to help out. It's a great local community. I can only speak for the WRS, I haven't dealt with the MARS club too much, but they both seem to be good clubs.

however, I don't want to take away from here, this place is awesome and also full of great people and information!!

I have met one of the guys that runs the mars site. He actually encouraged me to go to my first frag swap last weekend in janesville.

I also agree with zesty and check out the local clubs. I lived in Brown Deer (Milwaukee) in the mid 90's and wished I would have found them then. I'm now associated with a local club here in NJ.
