Hello guys. New member, Doogie here. Looking forward to meeting everyone and learning from you. Back in the early nineties I had four marine aquariums. I used undergravel filters on them. That was a long time ago. Want to learn how to set up a new tank with a new system. I have a new 55 gal. Can you guys help me?

Welcome aboard. The guide as mentioned. Also lots of info in the various forums and plenty of friendly folks for answering questions. Check out the Bulk Reef Supply videos either on their website or on YouTube. Very helpful and informative.

Thanks guys. I'm really excited about getting back into this. My ex hated my aquariums. My new wife loves it, along with her daughter. Sorry I'm rambling.
This is my issue guys. About 5 months ago I started a 40 gal marine aquarium with an UG filter. Well this past weekend, I bought a brand new 55. I want to transfer my stuff from the old tank to the new, but without the UG filter. If I do and only lay down enough coral sand to cover the bottom. Will this shock my biological system and cause a recycle. I'm lost guys and dont know what to do..
