Hey there, I'm a new member here at reef2reef. I live in Port Charlotte Florida and used to have quite a few fresh water tanks but I finally took the leap and started salt water I currently have a 32 gallon biocheme and a 13.5 gallon fluval Evo going. I also have a 40 gallon breeder that will be set up later this week as I'm sure you can tell I got one and notice how addicting it was lol. Nice to meet everybody I'm happy to be part if a forum that can help me succeed with creating my ocean at home.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID). You might want to do thread for each tank, but you'll only get one badge.

This might help you find people local to you, as Florida has very active hobbyists:
