For the last few weeks I have been designing, building and now it finally mixes it first batch. I built this stand out of 2x4's, 1/2" plywood and all joints are lap joints for strength. Stand painted black to hide imperfections. Two brute cans are resting on two overflow pans (this is in my basement) that are pvc plumed to my sump pit. All penetration's are uniseals. 3/4" plumping and four valves control water movement from RODI tank (powered by BRS RODI, float valve and optical backup sensor w/solenoid). Pan world 40PX pump pumps water all around. Happy with how this came out. Maybe overkill for a 13 gal Fluval Evo tank (10 months old) but sick of lugging water in 5 gal buckets from RODI source at work. Convenience of making water at home is so nice! Let me know your thoughts. APC power strip w/wifi powers it all up.

I think it looks great. It will make things less hassle and much more enjoyable.

Yeah, really think so. Having RODI on hand and salt water at any point is going to be great. I'm not considering AWC, so still need to transfer some to a bucket and heat prior to doing water changes. I'm not quite sure i'll heat up 40 gal all the time...seems like a waste of energy and BRS doesn't recommend it.
