New montipora spongodes

I got mine as a frag about 2 years ago. It's directly under a led so it gets tons of light. It will grow over anything in its way

You running high nutrients right...thats some amazing pinks and purples you got going there too, wow thats a nice display!

So I have one of these! I'm excited for it to get larger and to see the growth patterns. My question is, all of these look pretty awesome and large! I have a 13 gallon tank ... I'm a little worried my tank is too small for on of these. Or will it be ok? I don't want it to over take everything

mine is getting smothered by a stronger montipora, I've mad a few frags but It will be taken over soon.

if you trim it and maintain it you will be fine but it will take over any rock you put it on, and it will annoy most corals it touches, unless the other coral is stronger. if you keep them to their own rock you can make a small island and buy more time before you have to trim it.

good luck it's a beautiful coral with a nice green color. mine is full of polyps so it usually looks brown, but the tips are a nice green.
