Hi, all.

Today I added an orange linckia starfish. When I put it in, it kinda of felt in the space that you see in the picture, and then it retreated the a few of the arms a little bit more. Since then it hasn't moved.

Any advices/ideas? Thanks in advance.

it’s probably acclimating.

But in the long term, it will most likely wither away and die

Linkia starfish starve to death in our aquarium

They eat film algae and typically need a mature reef. I’ve read some spot feed them mastick. I have a blue linkia that I’ve had for 2 months and have tried to spot feed it. It’s not usually eager to take that food but eventually does.
