Hey there, I’m Matt and live in southern nh. New to the saltwater theme and got my first tank set up may 1. Although I haven’t posted here before I’ve used the site for research throughout my journey. I wasn’t comfortable getting into corals or a reef tank to start so I went with a fowlr setup. I was able to get my hands on an older oceanic 125 6’ tank complete for 150$. It’s been a relatively fun journey so far with some mistakes made but I’ve learned from them. I’ll get some pics later this evening and my stocking list thus far.

Well, this is where I’m at currently, recently had a velvet outbreak when my CB got stressed. Treated the tank with copper power and after some time I’m finally down to 0.25 using Hanna, and can keep snails alive. I had a queen angel in there but the bigger she got the more aggressive and got to the point I couldn’t add any fish. She had to go and it sucked but I learned why they have stocking lists and orders in which they go in. Have a porc puffer, melanarus wrasse, diamond goby, horse face blend, white tail bristlemouth, scopas tang, Niger trigger and a pair of clowns. I’m planning on doing a dwarf angel and when I upgrade to a 300 I’ll get a queen angel again. I’m planning on upgrading the sump from my 40 breeder to a 60 breeder, and adding a reef mat 1200.
