I spent a good couple of hours trying to stop the downpipe from gurgling (my partner doesn't like the tank anyway, the noise was pushing her over the edge). Once I figured out how to adjust the flow I managed to get it near on silent.
Skimmer has finally bedded in and is producing some thick gunge.
Doser is in place but I haven't set it up yet, I am still a little unsure on how to set up my first dose (more reading ahead).
Chaeto seems to be doing really well, it seems thicker, which must be a good sign. I don't have it tumbling, although I have turned by hand a couple of times. I would prefer to find a better clip for the light.
Thanks. I started off with a white sand from Red Sea. But no matter where I put the powerheads I would have the sand blow about all over my corals, leaving the glass showing. So I added a thin layer of white crushed coral and mixed with the sand. It seems to have done the trick.
