Just got a 10 gallon waterbox all in one. I added a 1000 nano power head for flow but the clowns seemed to be swimming too hard when I had it on. Would I be fine without it. Not sure how to tell if the flow is to soft now.

1. Since you're a beginner (assuming you are one based on the thread name), I would stay away from a powerhead and stick with the return pump as my flow

2. You absolutely should not have more than 2 clowns in that small of a tank. It takes an intermediate-advanced leveled hobbyists to keep more than two clowns in a tank (also called a herom tank). They'll end up killing each other. 2 is enough. One will assert dominance and become the female and the sub will be the male.

A 1000 gph powerhead is like 100x water turnover. I like strong water flow but that’s a bit much lol. Try to find something around 200-250 gph, that should provide good water flow in that tank.

Yeah, like previously said before, 4 will not end up well. I would take one pair back to the store. It will save you lots of headaches down the road trust me.

1 question for you, have you cycled your tank?

But overall really cool build!

I think he meant the sicce voyager nano. Should be good flow, coupled w the return probably slightly above.

I regularly see people keep 2 clowns in 10 gallons or less, there's people on r2r posting their 4 gallon deskmates with 2 clowns in em. You probably shouldn't even keep them in 15gal but people do so I dunno what the big hullabaloo is. If they get aggressive and start to harm each other then definitely break up the pair but not all fish are gonna behave that way.
