Good day. I recently swapped out my single Sicce 3.0 return for two Eheim Compacton 3000 pumps in my Innovative Marine 40.

Since the change, my temperature has increased from ~77 degrees to ~83 degrees. Is that going to be directly related? The timing of the change seems to support this speculation, but 6 degrees seems an awful lot from just one more pump.

Thanks in advance.

I took a sec to look up the power consumption. Each eheim 3000 consumes 55W. The sicce 3.0 is 48W. So you’re basically adding a 62W heater to your system running nonstop. Given your tank size, I think that would explain the bump in temperature.

Looks like you've nearly tripled your return flow. Try shutting one off or using the adjustment on both to reduce the flow. This should reduce the wattage a bit. See if your temperature drops along with it then see if you can find a sweet spot
