Started water changes twice a month five gallons with AF probiotic salt. Already used a 10kg bucket so far just ordered another bucket Friday. also started dosing pro bio s and np pro every day two drops of each. Going to up the dose to three this weekend.

Tank is just growing....Bubble algae outbreak is driving me crazy it's literally covering every inch of rock very frustrating. I bought some vibrant but scared to use it. Thinking of taking the macro reactor out really hasn't done anything since I've added it to the tank. Otherwise things are going good.

Some random cellphone pics I took as well [emoji3]

There is so much it is crazy from patches of really small bubbles to big bubbles. I'm waiting it out and being patient. Hoping the carbon dosing will begin to choke it out if not I will try the vibrant seems a lot of people have success with it.

Have a bunch of pictures from my phone. I used some fluconozole to help with a little bryopsis nothing crazy just wanted to get ahead of it. Have had my skimmer off for about 2-3 weeks wonder why I even use it. Totally removed the last of the sand this weekend. Bubble algae still not any better. Sold the big tyree pinky the bear colony that was at the top right it was growing way too fast.

I am up to 80 MLS a day of component 123 and 4 drops of np pro and pro bio s not using anything else right now.

What is your first observation with the skimmer off for the last weeks?
Sounds like it is not that beneficial to run one.

Well nothing really other than the fact that it is the same now as it was while running the skimmer. I will say tho I likely need to be running considering I am carbon dosing with AF. I also am a lazy reefer and do not check anything other than alk and salinity so my phosphate and nitrate could be creeping up without me knowing. I am going to turn it back on soon. It has been nice not cleaning the cup and have enjoyed how quiet the tank is with it not running. My skimmer is pretty noisy to me.

Despite the nuisances you mentioned, the tank is looking very nice and colorful.

Thank you! Yes bubble algae is the worst I gotta keep telling myself it could be much worse everything is happy otherwise and it is hard to notice most of it unless you really look.

Guess it's been a while since I updated. I spammed the tank with reeflux and no skimmer for about two months. Bubble algae died and hasn't came back in any way pretty happy about that. Swapped out my old vertex libre dosing pump with the kamoer wifi pretty pleased with it so far. Otherwise tank has just been running.

Well had a few technical difficulties lost a couple of acros mainly due to being busy with work life etc. Most everything is doing fine and getting back into order. I removed the macro reactor never got it to grow anything other than ulva. Currently haven't been running the skimmer either for about a month. Bubble algae is still gone from the fluco dosing super happy with that. Anyway here are a few pictures

Wow even with the hiccups things still seem to be thriving, beautiful!
