The rebuild has begun. New sand, new eshopps overflow, couldn't drill it cause wasn't sure if it's tempered it not. Got the tank half filled so far, letting the old live rock cook with the new sand and brs dry rock. Have to get some plumbing supplies and hang the light so i can center the tank. Should be back up in 2 weeks. Then the restocking will begin. Should be able to get some frags of the things I've traded off on the past. If you're around Pittsburgh and you want to donate and sps frags that would be cool. :)

Really nice tank and great growth. How has the flow been in your tank? I am thinking of possibly getting a 92g corner and have heard a few complaining thats its hard placing the ph's for proper flow.

I have a koralia 2 and 3. Plus a mag 7 return. I usually keep the 3 by itself on the front right corner. Then the return and the 2 on the opposite side pointing at the 3. Gives me a nice random flow. I actually removed several pumps to save electric and never noticed any difference.

Thanks for the info, really appreciate it. By the way if you had to do it again would you still get a corner tank?

Nope! At least not the 54 gallon. There's no room underneath for the sump and equipment. I could only get a 10 gallon under mine. The 92 should give you some room though. You getting that one on craigslist?

Starting to come back together. Thus was a few days ago. Still not super satisfied with the aquascape. Sorry for the mag rock in the middle, i was being lazy. Let me know if anyone has any thoughts on the scape. I wanted to do something similar but different.

So tank is still breaking in since the move. Diatoms and cyanco growing like crazy on the brand new and. Isolated patches of hair algae on the rocks. A surprise result though is that sponges, tube worms, tunicates, and lots of other critters are blowing up. Hoping is should start settling out soon. I think i may need to add a di unit to my ro.
