I have the 250 watt hqi version with a 14k bulb. Tank walls are 23 inches deep, the light hangs 8 inches off the water surface. The actual bulb is 13 inches from the surface. It's a 54 gallon quarter cylinder shaped corner tank with 10 gallon sump.

Yea, I'm pretty amazed too. I use seachem reef plus too so I'm sure that helps out some too. I've never had crazy growth like this before though.

I looked that up too. Will have to order that and a bucket of salt when I run out and try it out. My tank has been really clean lately. Just doing 3 gallon waterchanges and changed out my DI resin. Maybe I should bump up to 4g on a biocube 14g. ITs about 12g without ruck so its like 10g i think.

I only do 3 a week on my 54. Hell i didn't do any for like 4 months before i got this salt. I wouldn't suggest that at all though.

Thanks, to bad i lost 6 of my sps colonies and some of the zoas during my recent move. Pretty bummed.

Lost colonies, tri color birds nest, tri color valida, blue tort, green stylophora, blue stag horn and yellow stag horn.
Plus several frags that hadn't really developed yet.

It sucks cause it was looking so good but nothing I can do about it now but regroup and get new stuff. Hopefully I can get some frags back that I gave/sold and replace some of the thing I lost. Everything is in a big tub for now untill I get the tank back up. I want to get it drilled and try to polish out some of the scratches. Ill put up some more pics soon of the tub and the rebuild.

Moving and having things sitting in tubs longer than i wanted. No body really local that i know that i could have had hold my stuff for me. Stuff happens. I'm tracking down most of what i lost. It's all good though, I'll bring it back better than before!
