Day 9 of cycling today. I dosed in my first day Dr Tims with ammonium chloride. On day 5 I added fritz turbo to speed up the process. I felt like i got a bad batch of Dr Tims. Today i tested and got this results ammonia 1-2ppm, nitrite >1, nitrates between 20-50. Should I do water change or do nothing and let it cycle some more?

I would do 2.5 gallon - 3.75 gallon water change. wait 24 hours and retest ammonia and nitrates. If ammonia is gone and you have nitrates you should be good to go. Do not dose anything else for this time.

I would be patient and wait for ammonia to drop to zero (or .25), its just a few more days...

Thanks. Will wait some more input.
Dr. Tims is one of the slower products. There is a detailed cycling bacteria testing thread that is very useful

read the thread definitely a good info.

Im working today so i cant even do water change if i wanted to so yeah maybe testing again tomorrow and see if ammonia would drop further.

Day 13 I think my tank is cycled. Ammonia is 0 today. Nitrite >1.0, nitrates are 20-50. Should i do water change before adding fish or no need for a water change?

Nitrates....20 - 50?
anyway...IMO, I would do 20% wc and add your first 1 or 2 fish in and wait another week before adding anymore

a 3 gallon or so water change would not be a bad idea.

Yeah. Red sea has a big gap in the nitrate reading. Thanks
