I am doing a tank transfer/downgrade. Going from a 20 gallon to a 14. My current 20 is happy and established with 4 BTAs on 1 large rock arch. Can I simple move all of my current rock with nems into the new tank? Will there be enough bacteria to prevent a cycle? I will however be using a new bag of caribsea live sand. Thank you for any help

If it has been running for months, than you have well established nitrifying bacteria population on your rocks. If you have any other media/ filter, transfer it too.
New sand is OK, but I would seed it with a scoop of old one.

Thank you. I have read bad things about using the old sand. When you say seed.. do you mean I should take a little bit of the old and mix it around in the new?
