I'm having a 72x28x22 tank built. The sump will be 48x20x18. So, here are my questions:

1. What kind of sand do you recommend? I have Trop Eden Reef Flakes currently and after doing some research about Algae sand blooms, I realized it's my sand.
2. How do the Radion G2 Pro's compare with the G3's?
3. Skimmer - What kind of skimmer would you go with? I have a BM Curve 7 in my 90 set up now, was thinking of going with a Curve 9, but am open to suggestions.

BTW, I have a nice Elos Sytem 120 for sale if anyone is interested.

My last tank was the same dimensions. I used the fiji pink (had two MP40's) and my goby was constantly creating dust storms which left silt all over the rocks. Current tank I used the special grade sand and it's so much better.

Greetings.
Sand? No recommendations, I prefer BB.
Flakes are bad. If you use dry food you may want to switch to slow sinking pellets (my Filefish even eats them, flakes are too messy and polluting IMO)
Radions? No experience with them, but they all rock!
Skimmer..So many! There are others more apt to answer this as well. Whatever I would suggest, there would be opposing opinions.

Get a Vortech! So sweet. And with your Radions and wireless control, it would be sweet.

Just got a tank going myself from my leftover "Box of Rocks" from a 90 breakdown. Got'em in a 65T.

What's special grade sand? How much did you use? This tank will also have two MP 40's.

I think I used 4 of the 20lb bags. The particles are a little larger than the regular sand.

Here's a close up I took tonight. You can see they're about 2-3 mm as opposed to the sugar size of regular sand.

Thanks, I ordered Radion G3 and two MP 40's. I have two Hydras on my 90 with one Mp40 and I love it. I wasn't crazy with the Hydra's which is why I wanted something different.
