new tank

hey everyione, well i have had my 75 gal for about 7 months and I am getting ready to set up a 40 gal bowfront tank but it is not drilled for a sump so my question is what is the best way to go about it? should i get a hang on back system and if so what are the pro and con of setting atank up with out also is there a way I can drill the tank myself with out messing it up? I would like to have a trigger tank but dont think I could put triggers in a tank this small.

This is what I use (a bigger model) all you have to keep an eye on it the tubing.
I blow my lines out about every 3 weeks or they plug up.
